Prayer, Not a Spectator Sport

Every mighty move of the Spirit of God has had its source in the prayer room (E.M. Bounds).

Volume Three of the Primer on Prayer Series by Dr. Rus provides a Blueprint for Revival. The book encourages believers to Get out of the Stands and Onto the Praying Field.

In the Introduction he writes; This book encourages believers to get out of the stands, breaking the spectator mindset so prevalent not only in the world, but also in the church today.

Prayer, Not a Spectator Sport is a prophetic clarion call rallying believers together who are committed to praying for revival.

Every revival begins with prayer. By connecting together through the House of Prayer Network, we can start a movement of prayer, leading to revival across North America.

"I'm honored to endorse Dr. Rus and the House of Prayer Network initiative. As a former student of Peter's, I also know he would be very honored as Rus picks up a mantle of prayer passed along by my late husband, C. Peter Wagner."

Canada

"May He Reign from Sea to Sea." Psalm 72:8

In 1921 when designing the Canadian Coat of Arms, it was decided to pick up on the reference, “May He reign from sea to sea” from Psalm 72. In the official Canadian Coat of Arms we have the Latin words a mari usque ad mare, which means “from sea to sea,” and is a direct quote from Psalm 72.

When you see the Canadian Coat of Arms in your passport or on other official government documents, you have before your eyes a reminder of the Christian origins of Canada.

A Prayer for Revival

Father God, because You care for Your people and want all mankind to have life, You desire revival. Your revival brings life and nourishment, preservation and restoration.

Thank you for sending Jesus to give us Your abundant life.

Lord, start a revival in our nation. Amen

"What does the Lord require... to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8

In the book Reading the Bible with the Founding Fathers, the author writes how the leaders of the American Revolution repeatedly referred to Micah 6:8.

On December 11, 1783 Rev. George Duffield, who served as Chaplain of the Continental Congress, gave a powerful sermon praising God for His providence:

A nation has indeed been born. Let us look back on what God hath done; and contemplate the prospect He opens before us.

If we want revival, we must also pray for a revival of our reverence for the Word of God.
